Are photos required?
No. Photos are optional, but shops quote better from a picture. Do not put a street number in the shot. Work notes still ask what is broken, where it is, and how to get in.
How do I pay the shop?
Pay the shop that quoted you — Zelle, cash, or check. Recorded by that shop. This app does not charge your card for the job.
Will this app text or email me on its own?
No. Nothing auto-texts from a post. A shop only sends a quote when that contractor taps Send. These pages do not send live SMS.
Is this a bid war?
No. One job, one shop. You are not collecting twenty bids from strangers.
Are the shops employees of Local Contractors?
No. Shops are independent. Local Contractors is the software. The shop you hire is responsible for the work, license, and insurance.
What languages are on the site?
Shop books can be saved in English, Spanish, or Haitian Creole. More language work is coming. That is not a claim that every page is translated today.
